Ranjith Soysa passes away
Member of parliament of United People's Freedom Alliance for Ratnapura district, Ranjith Soysa passed away this morning (4) in Singapore. it is reported.
MP Mr. Ranjith Soysa in an ailing condition was taken to a Singapore hospital on last morning for treatment. He was in his 57th year when he died. He
was a member of Sri Lanka Podu Jana Peramuna from the inception itself and is supposed to have carried out a great shae of work for president Mr. Gotabhaya Rajapaksa's victory. Before stepping into politics, Mr. Ranjith Soysa, a father of two children was a cultivator.

Mr. Ranjith Soya was elected to Atakalapanna provincial council in 1997 and to Sabaragamuwa provincial council in 2004 and later he functioned as the minister of agriculture at Sabaragomuwa provincial council. He was appointed as member of parliament representing the Alliance from the general election of 2015.
