Rajitha under remand custody till 30th ... while in hospital
Former minister Mr. Rajitha Senaratna who was taken into custody by criminal investigation department while preparing himself for a surgery at Narahenpita Lanka Hospitals Private Hospital was to be sent to remand prison, Colombo additional magistrate, Mrs. Shalani Perera informed in court today and the former minister has been strategic enough to have the bed in hospital be cleaned

This order was given after Colombo additional magistrate, Mrs. Shalani Perera arrived at the private hospital where former minister Mr. Rajitha Senaratna is taking treatment on the revelation made in court to the effect that Rajitha Senaratna is warded in hospital on the occasion that this case was taken up for hearing today.
After the magistrate examined the suspect, this order was issued and subsequently ordered prison superintendent that he be made to remain in hospital under custody of prisons.
