Ampitiye thero's slap on the face ... ignites social media (video)
A video showing a Buddhist priest slapping a person who said that he is a Christian missionary has virtually set social media in flames. This person has been slapped on the face by Ampitiye Sumanarathna thero of Batticaloa and the thero has been subjected to several debatable issues in the past as well.
The accusation is that the said missionary has taken steps to promote the Christian doctrine in an area where predominantly Buddhists live. Even police officers have been unable to prevent this
