Ajith Prasanna who engaged in fast asking for a statement by Swiss lady officer ... enjoys a koththu after 12 hours!

A solitary one-man fast was launched yesterday for close upon 12 hours in front of the Switzerland consulate office situated down Gregory's Road, Colombo. 

It was attorney at law Mr. Ajith Prasanna who engaged in this protest demanding that the lady officer of the said consulate who was subjected to kidnapping provide a statement to police without delay. It
could be hypothesised that he may have mediated in this instance on behalf of the army soldiers. Minister Wimal Weerawansha identified the instance of CID officer Nishantha Silva leaving the country because Nishantha who was engaged in 'hunting' the soldiers has thus fled the country for fear of being caught for his blunder under the new regime. 

Whatever it is, after Mr. Ajith Prasanna's fast passed the 12 hour mark it was ended last night around 11. On a request made by Athureliye Rathana thero and retired rear admiral Mr. Sarath Weerasekera ... the fast has thus been brought to a close, it was reported. (Athureliye Rathana thero is a thero who himself was engaged in several fasts during the last part of the Maithri regime and thus is equipped with experience). Ajith Prasanna who dropped the fast has subsequently entered a koththu boutique in Battaramulla and has had a fine koththu feed ... he himself has said by making a comment in the facebook page.
