New governors for 6 provinces
6 governors have been appointed for six provinces. What president's media unit mentioned was that a short while earlier they took their oaths before president Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.

Lalith U. Gamage has been appointed as the governor of the central province. Mr. Raja Kollure has been appointed as governor of Uva province while Dr. Willie Gamage has been appointed as governor of Southern province. In the same way Mr. A.J.M. Muzammil has been appointed as governor of North West province while Mr. Tikiri Kobbekaduwa was appointed as governor of Sabaragomuwa province.
