New cabinet swears in
The swearing in ceremony of the new cabinet of Gotabhaya Rajapaksa new government took place this morning (22) at 9 at presidential secretariat. While 16 cabinet ministers took their oaths, there was no swearing in of deputy state or other ministers. The full name-list of ministers who took their oaths is as follows:

Ramesh Pathirana - Plantation industries and export agriculture
Prasanna Ranatunga - Industrial export and investment promotion, tourism and aviation services
Johnston Fernando - Road and highways, ports and naval affairs
Wimal Weerawansa - Small and medium-scale enterprises, entrepreneur development, industries and supply management
Mahinda Amaraweera - Public transport management, power and energy
Janaka Bandara Tennakoon - Public administration, internal affairs; provincial and local government
