Mystery of 39 persons who went to achieve their dreams of going to England ... found dead inside truck!

The incident where 39 dead bodies were found inside a container-truck in England recently shocked the whole world. Whose bodies and how they died have been revealed by now on investigations being carried on. It was earlier reported that that these dead bodies may belong to Chinese nationals. However, it was then later identified that most of them belong to Vietnamese nationals. It came to be known that a group who tried to gain entry to England through secret means across Europe had died and their bodies were thus loaded into the
truck or they had died after being loaded into the truck concerned. 

The truck which had a deep-freezer in it with the dead bodies inside had commenced journey from Belgium. This truck which entered England across the sea route had  stopped at a car park in the small industrial city of Purfleet in Essex and it was there that the corpses were found. Driver 'More' has said that only when the door of the storage section was opened to collect the relevant documents he had come across these dead bodies, English media had reported. 

The said container in fact was a sealed refrigerated trailer and it has had a temperature of 25 (-25) celsius. What chief executive officer of Zeesburg port in Belgium who loaded this container to United Kingdom says is that it is incredible how people had got into the container this way at the Belgium frontier. Whatever it is, in the end the container with these 39 people has arrived at Purfleet port in United Kingdom from Zeesburg port and the truck has come from North Wales in Ireland across Holyhead to take the container and that was at 12.30 early morning on Wednesday. The truck has loaded the container early morning at 1.05 and has set off from the port when later a telephone call was received from Waterglade Industrial Park in Grace at 1.40 am and that was after detection of the said dead bodies. It has still not been revealed by police investigations by whom this telephone call was made. 

Thirty one of the corpses were that of males while the other eight were that of females. Autopsy of those who were found dead in the truck is being conducted and Essex police appeal to Vietnamese residents in Britain to come forward in identifying those dead bodies. After VietHome Organisation representing Vietnamese nationals living in United Kingdom received information about the truck containing the dead bodies, it was informed that photographs of almost twenty missing persons were received by them. 

There are in fact several routes by which people are made to enter England by illegal means. Immigrants who are thus smuggled into vans and subsequently made to enter Britain through the sea route across ports of countries such as France, the Netherlands and Belgium is one such strategy. To smuggle a person to England across Russia - Poland - Germany and France ... the racketeers demand a sum of about 30,000 sterling pounds. Such brokers who organise trips of this nature are found in Vietnam. What these racketeers do is simply push these immigrants into a vehicle at a car park in a European country and then close the door. 

The illegal immigrants are prepared to pay any price and thus gain entry to Britain with the dream of a high-quality existence in their new country, British media report. Several instances of tragedy were reported during the past years where the immigrants faced death in trying to gain entry by illegal means by hiding inside trucks, containers and vans coming across the seas or air. International Organisation for Migration (IOM) has reported about tragical deaths of immigrants starting from 2014. An illegal immigrant who hid in the luggage unit of the wheel of a plane had fallen into a park in London and died also belongs to that list of this category. Five have died when coming hiding inside a truck conveying goods or a similar vehicle. 

The NCA has pointed out that it is an arduous task to check all trucks entering United Kingdom in lakhs every year. There are at least 702 Vietnamese in England who were preyed upon by this modern human traffickers and slavery so to say, according to statistics last year. Albania is supposed to be country where the majority of victims of this nature are found in England. Vietnamese nationals say that a fear has developed as to whether about 10 Vietnamese were inside this container. On the other hand the BBC website says that 6 Vietnamese families are stricken with fear over this incident that has occured. The brother of a 19 year old Vietnamese says that his sister spoke to him on Tuesday morning. The girl has told that she was getting into a container from Belgium and after that she has disconnected the phone for the fear that authorities would get at her. The message "I'm sorry mom ... I'm dying" was the message sent by Pham Thi Tra My, the 26 year old Vietnamese girl to her mother. That was the final message sent by her. It is believed that she may be among the thirty nine dead bodies found last week in Essex province in England in the said truck container. 

The container driver is expected to be produced before court next Wednesday on charges of homicide while two others have been taken into custody in connection with human trafficking and homicide. It is a 38 year old husband and wife who are the last owners of the truck concerned. Whatever it is, what they have said is that this vehicle has been robbed from them 13 months ago.
