Hirunika harassed by Pohottuwa supporters

Member of parliament Mrs. Hirunika Premachandra has complained that supporters of Mr. Gotabhaya Rajapaksa have engaged in harassment in an indecent manner today election secretariat today; on the day nominations were handed over for the position of president. She mentioned that her official vehicle which proceeded towards election commission in order to greet presidential candidate of United National Front, Sajith Premadasa who handed in his nomination
papers had by mistake proceeded towards where supporters of Mr. Gotabhaya Rajapaksa were and that she faced this incident on that occasion. 

In the same way, Mrs. Premachandra further mentioned that she would be making an appeal to acting inspector of police to carry out an inquiry concerning the police officers who directed her to that place. She added that she would complain about this to the election commission and the acting inspector general of police. 

The MP said this by attending a main operations office of United National front presidential candidate Mr. Sajith Premadasa situated at Vauxhall Street. She finally remarked that she regrets the manner in which she was welcome as a lady and a representative of the public.
