Presidential candidate of Jana Setha Peramuna ven. Battharamulle Seelarathana thero says that news portrayed and circulating in the social media saying that those are his policies is utterly false. The thero stated this by making a complaint to CAFE organisation. Because of acquiring a false popularity somebody has engaged in this activity and through this process he and his party has been subjected to humiliation, the thero complains. Ven. Battharamulle Seelarathana thero emphasises that as a result of these bogus policies being brought before society it has become a problem in bringing
forth genuine policies of his party. 

Thus, CAFE organisation emphasises that subjecting candidates or their policies to insult and acts of  distortion are strongly looked down upon. What Mrs. Surangi Ariyavansha, director of that organisation points out is information was received that a process of misleading the public is being carried out in a very sharp manner. knife-edged manner. It is the opinion of Mrs. Ariyavansha that creating fallacious information and engaging in such activity with the motive of damaging the rival candidate's image and popularity is an objection to a fair election. She also remarked that CAFE organisation hopes to inform the elections commission to carry out a strong scrutiny in this connection and take suitable measures in that connection. 

CAFE organisation say that from the day that election was announced the organisation have been receiving 161 complaints by now and from among those the majority haapen to be involved with misappropriation of state property and violating election rules.
