Namal goes to Hameedia to have suit stitched (video)

After the Easter Sunday attack, it was mostly political activists and those of Sri Lanka Podu Jana Peramuna who were preyed upon in the anti-Muslim activities that sprang up in Sri Lanka. 

Two weeks after the attack, Gotabhaya Rajapaksa addressed mass media twice and said that he would
be working towards abolishing muslim extremists. There was news to say that there was a political hand in action behind provincial commotion which was the cause to enforce the curfew. In the meantime, the Sinhala folk were motivated to sabotage Muslim shops and and one of the most popular businesses which came under fire was the Hameedia textile business. During the past few days sales activities of the business had drastically collapsed, it was reported. 

When circumstances was such, it happened to be this particular Hameedia textile shop which Mahinda Rajapaksa's son Namal Rajapaksa had chosen to have his bridegroom kit designed for his wedding ceremony. It is because of that, photographs and a video of Namal visiting that shop and getting his measurements done has created a dialogue within the internet. Seen below is that video
