Creation of jeep from motor cycle engine where five people can travel in comfort
The creation of a jeep where five people could travel in comfort at the cost of Rs. 55,000 by a wonderful technician is heard from Galewala, Galbokka. The creator is Mr. W.M.M. Sisira Kumara (36). He has had a passionate desire for mechanism even from his childhood and by now he has produced a jeep with the use of an engine of a motor cycle and in which five persons could travel in comfort. This jeep, Mr. Sisira Kumara stated could be driven at a speed of about 70 kilometres per hour and is in a condition to be used
particularly for the tourist industry. He in fact is the father of three children and is an electrical technician as well as a mason by profession. When at home he would produce various things, he said.
particularly for the tourist industry. He in fact is the father of three children and is an electrical technician as well as a mason by profession. When at home he would produce various things, he said.
This jeep is equipped with gears, brakes, head-lights and safety-belts necessary for the vehicle. He has produced a helicopter when small and later a small vehicle with the aid of a small push-cycle engine where two people could travel and ultimately this durable, tough jeep where five people could travel in. This jeep which is presently in a motorable condition could be inspected and produced at a low cost he said and if a private firm would provide support this identical jeep could be produced within this country itself, he added.
The said jeep has been created using tyres used for three-wheelers and various parts discarded in garages. He then said that so far nobody's attention has so far been focused on this jeep; but that anybody could visit his home and and inspect the vehicle. He also pointed out that though it still is not in a position to secure a registered number, even at a later date this jeep could be produced for the tourist industry and as a domestic vehicle for the family among vehicles imported from abroad with high expenditure and that government support is warranted in that respect.
