PT sir displays nudity of schoolgirl and abuses 10 schoolboys ... arrested!
A schoolgirl and 10 schoolboys studying in a school in Hali ela Galauda area were suspected of having been subjected to serious abuse by a 44 year old teacher of the same school and when police were on his tracks, he had submitted himself to Badulla police yesterday (28). A schoolgirl and 5 schoolboys in the age range of 15 and 16 were seriously abused according to initial complaints received by Badulla police and by today (29) the number of such complaints have risen to 11, police say and that was with the schoolgirl inclusive.
The said teacher has shown a special preference to boys and for that purpose has employed the
schoolgirl too for his purpose, it was revealed by now. In order to lure the boys he has utilised the nudity of the said schoolgirl and has even abused her too several times, it is stated. He in fact was the physical training teacher of that school and has also taught Mathematics, it was said. Apart from that he has charged fees and conducted tuition classes too at the school. Badulla superintendent of police, Mr. Wasantha Kandwattha said that the students were subjected to a medical examination. Badulla police are conducting inquiries. The teacher concerned was produced before Passara magistrate court today (29).
