Hotel manager who received blow from hotel owner's wife's slipper ... in hospital

Habaraduwa police say that chief administrative manager of a tourist hotel was subjected to an assault by the hotel owner's wife and has been admitted to Karapitiya hospital. The complaint lodged by the manager concerned says that this assault took place during the course of an instruction class for workers of this tourist hotel. The complaint further says that this lady supposed to be resident in Colombo has barged into the hotel in the company of another person and had on in the front of the
reception counter removed her slipper with a pointed heel and had aimed it at his face. The complainant has subsequently mentioned that he is unaware of conflicts between the hotel owner and wife and is only attending to his duties. The complaint further states that he came for this job at the request of the owner and that his wife in Colombo has come with another person and reprimanded him in front of employees saying, "What are you doing ... get out!" and had tried to assault him by threatening him, police say. 

On the other hand, what the hotel owner's wife said in her complaint was that ownership of the hotel is hers and when she arrived at the hotel with her lawyer the complainant had been conducting an instructions-class for workers and when inquiring about it and when attempting to deal a blow with a vase kept as decoration near him and though the lawyer has tried to prevent it it had struck a finger in his hand.
