Wije gives life to Murali's life story across the screen ... under the name '800'
An Indian film company is involved in creating a film portraying the life story of Sri Lanka's distinguished bowler in the field of cricket, it is reported. His life story was published in the year 2011 by Muralitharan and it was named '800' ... symbolising the number of Test wickets he captured.
The story of how he faced threats and challenges during Murali's cricketing career to undermine his progress and how he withstood all that comes forth in this book. Thus anybody who is devoted to the

The said Indian company has been interested in transforming Murali's biography '800' because not only in Sri Lanka but there is a great interest and strength among lakhs of readers and viewers in India as well. Well-known actor of the Tamil screen, Wije Sethupathi would give life to Muralitharan's character in this instance. It is reported that work on the film would commence in December 2019 and shooting is expected to take place in Sri Lanka, India and England.
Wije incidentally is an actor who hit the limelight because of the films 'Soodhu Kavvum' and 'Vikram Vedha'. Creation of life stories of stalwarts of cricketers is something not new to the Indian cinema as such. Prior to this the life story of Indian player Kapil Dev was brought to life by Bollywood star Ranvir Singh and it became a popular hit.
It is understood that the script of Muttiah Muralitharan's '800' has already been written and finished. It comprises of details about Murali's 'dusra' bowling aspect, problems which cropped up because of the contortion of his arm, issues which emerged because he was a Tamil and later having exchanged rings with a female who was an Indian national.
