Two complaints by Dr. Shafi's wife, Dr. Imara Shafi saying that steps were taken to put husband in difficulties

Dr. Imara Shafi, wife of Dr. Shafi has lodged two complaints at police headquarters yesterday (23) against the hospital director and the police to the effect  that these two parties had made false accusations. Theses petitions were forwarded under CIB ii 182/108, CIB ii 187/109. One complaint speaks about director of Kurunegala basic hospital, Mr. Sarath Weerabandara for having forwarded 11 false complaints to criminal investigation department,
preparing bogus documents, providing false information so as to mislead court and to carry out an inquiry regarding those accusations of hers. 

The other complaint has been forwarded to the effect that nine false complaints against Dr. Shafi were directed by Messrs. Kithsiri Jayalath - deputy inspector general of police of Kurunegala, Mahesh Dissanayaka - superintendent of police in charge of Kurunegala division, officer in charge of crime investigation unit of Kurunegala and to carry out an inquiry for having prepared fake documents.
