Wife escorts husband on pretext of going to take medicine and kills him with illicit husband in connivance!

Kantalai police headquarters say that the dead body of a father of two children in Galkiriyagama, Dambulla was found day before yesterday (20) from Vedrasanpura area in Kantalai dumped into a toilet pit. 

Not being able to bear the foul stench emanating from a toilet pit from a number of days, neighbours have notified the police emergency number after which headquarters chief inspector of police, Mr.
H.M.P.B. Wijesiri and a team of police officers had arrived and conducted inquiries when they were able to find the root cause for the death. 

The deceased is a person from Gakitiyagama area and on a day in April the wife has beguiled her husband saying that treatment should be taken for a kidney ailment and had escorted him to her paramour's house where the murder has taken place, it was revealed at initial inquiries, police say. In order to carry out this murder in a pre-arranged manne the suspect has sent her wife and children to wife's parents' home and thus hoodwink her, police say. The murderer has proceeded to dump the dead body into a toilet pit and subsequently cover the pit with a concrete slab and had even plastered it with cement. This was revealed after police emergency unit was called because of the foul odour which prevailed for a number of days. 

 The disappearance of the son in law was conveyed to Galkiriyagama police even by wife's mother in the month of April. What wife of deceased husband told in the statement given to Galkiriyagama police is that her husband of two children had brought various amenities necessary for the house for avurudu from Dambulla and had gone away with some friends. Police are conducting further inquiries in this connection.
