Unexpected loss of Manik and daughter who lived in Melbourne

A mother and daughter with a Sri Lankan background living in Melbourne, Australia breathed their last at the suicide bombing which took place on Sunday at Katuwapitiya church. Beloved wife of Sudesh Kolonne, Manik Sooriyaarachchi and 9 year old daughter died as a result. 

It is understood that towards the final moments of the service Suresh has trekked to the car-park and
Manik and daughter had been delaying a little bit and it was then that the bomb has blast near them, most tragically. Thus Sudesh escaped death. 

Manik who served at a bank in the city of Melbourne has also carried on a management business in that country while Sudesh was a technical was a officer. Their only daughter, Alexandria and was known as an angel. Final rites of mother and daughter was conducted on Tuesday evening. Apart from these two deaths, only two other Australian nationals sustained injuries. Australian media reported this incident as their leading piece of news and even the prime minister of that country expressed his condolences.
