Photos of Copper businessman Inshaf Ahamad and his brother Ilham Ahamad who are supposed to have launched a suicidal attack on restaurants of both Cinnamon Grand are published in the media for the first time.

The two of them among 11 children (8 sons and 3 daughters) of millionaire spice businessman living in Dematagoda Yoosuf Ibrahim have studied at leading schools and have proceeded to England for higher education. Inshaf Ahamad who displayed success in the field of business has had a business
factory linked to copper in Wellampitiya. After marriage he has lived in a house in Kandy.

38 year old Inshaf has a daughter aged 8 and three sons aged 6, 4 and 2 years, it is understood. Inshaf and his father Yoosuf have even been subjected to awards because of success in business. A photo where Inshaf and his father are seen accepting an award rom the hands of Minister Sujeewa Senasingha was supposed to have been published in the media. Inshaf has from time to time put up at the house belonging to his father in Colombo and his own house in Kandy.

The suicide bombing of Taprobane Restaurant at Cinnamon Grand has been carried out single-handedly by himself. He has even taken steps to hide all this to his wife and has told her that he was on a tour of Zambia. Water bottles with markings of Cinnamon Grand Hotel were found inside his white-coloured car which was parked near his father's house in Dematagoda. It appears that before blasting the bomb he has rehearsed himself by visiting the hotel time and again.

There are 6 bedrooms in the luxury house of 3 floors down Mahavila Road, Dematagoda. 3 year old Inshaf's brother, Ilham lived with his family with his father in the same house. The bomb blast carried out at Hotel Shangri-La was handled by him with aid of an accomplice, it has been confirmed by now. He had in fact remained in the hotel before the blast and at breakfast time on 21 he had come down in the lift to the 3rd floor and it has been recorded on CCTV of how he proceeded to Table One restaurant. On the evening of the incident, when police cordoned the Dematagoda house, it was Ilhams pregnant wife and the three sons who lost their lives from the second explosion.
