Former Qatar Consulate Mr. A.S.P. Liyanage has said that he will file action against Deputy Minister Buddhika Pathirana for having smeared the reputation of his two daughters in public ... calling them prostitutes.
During the time Mr. A.S.P. Liyanage was engaged in service at Qatar Consulate office, Mr. Buddhika Pathirana has made two speeches in parliament saying that Mr. Liyanage has carried on a private school in Qatar illegally and has misappropriated funds while on yet another instance at a festival

Mr. Liyanage has mentioned that after leaving his tenure in Qatar, he will be coming over to Sri Lanka in the near future and then he will be implementing legal action. He further said that though he wanted to seek assistance of the law earlier, he dropped the idea having been told that it is President Maithripala Sirisena 'Yahapalana' regime; however, as there is no obstruction at present, he will proceed in going ahead with legal action. Whatever it is, Minister Buddhika Pathirana has made a statement to Daily Mirror newspaper in this connection and has said that he is ready to face anything.
