President Maithripala Sirisena expressed the following ideas in connection with the crisis that has gripped the country at present by addressing the SLFP seminar held today.

This person does not have the habit of placing his foot on this ground. He does not feel anything of that sort. He is totally consumed by extreme leftist ideas in a political sense. Therefore he does not feel it. Under these circumstances let us take into consideration all these things and carry out our responsibilities and duties to the country for the morrow. Therefore let us strengthen the SLFP. I will not let anyone weaken SLFP.

If at maximum, I will definitely solve this present political crisis within another week. I guarantee that and that is on behalf of the country, the common man and the child to be born tomorrow. It was not I who created the problem. Ranil ... that political karma ... let us solve it with meritorious deeds. Let us all contribute towards that act".
