An announcement has been released to the effect that the Speaker would be taking action in informing the President by appending a copy of the no confidence motion and decision of the House which is to be handed over to parliament today (4) and that the Prime Minister and cabinet appointed by the President in against the constitution with a coy of a document containing signatures of 122 MPs. 6 MPs of JVP, 14 MPs of the Tamil National Alliance and 98 MPs of UNP have placed their signatures in this respect. Apart from them, Vadivel Suresh, Manusha Nanayakkara, A.H.M. Fowzie and Piyasena Gamage who left the government today
have placed their signatures too.

Therefore, it must be understood that the responsibility of appointing a Prime Minister as the leader of the party that has secured the majority by changing the President's  and what transpired has been reported in overseas media. of October 26th has fallen on the shoulders of President Mathripala Sirisena. Ambassadors representing foreign nations have come to parliament to view proceedings in parliament today. As such, what decision President would arrive at is focused upon by locals as well as foreigners.
