with 20 million worth heroin packed in false bottom of suitcase!

Police narcotics unit of Katunayaka airport were able to nab an Indian national and his wife with heroin to the value of 20 million forty five lakhs.

An Indian couple was responsible for having concealed the stock of heroin and they have arrived at Katunayaka Airport arrivals terminal today (15) from Chennai, India. Having interrogated the Indian national and his wife after being arrested, in which instance it was possible to take into custody the
stock of heroin sharply hidden at the bottom of his suitcase. In addition to having committed this offence, his wife who was the guilty party for having aided and abetted him in bringing the heroin, also was taken into custody.

2 kilogrammes and 40 grammes were found in the possession of the suspect. (The value of this stock is close upon Rs. 20 million and forty five lakhs). This couple is expected to be produced before Negombo Magistrates' Court today. Police Narcotics Bureau are conducting further investigations.
