A host of other information keeps streaming in, in connection with the incident of abusing a schoolgirl by a married teacher conducting tuition classes for a period of 2 years who was taken into custody recently in Bandaragama.

This 52 year old tuition sir called Nihal Dharmatillaka was someone who had been used to be romantic wherever he goes and was a person who had two marriages to his credit. He in fact has 3

children from his first marriage and 2 children from his second marriage. Since he has carved a name for himself as a teacher of Mathematics for quite sometime, he was never short of neither finances nor students. It is something special that there always was a bed sheet and camera equipment in his vehicle. He also possessed a wonderful strategy of behaving as husband and wife with schoolgirls who liked fun and whom he chose. He would rent out locations to conduct tuition classes and it is of special note that he used such spots not only for education purposes but for his private sexual activities as well. There were schoolgirls who willingly joined him in these activities as well as those who initially showed a dislike for it and later on consented for it while some others though opposed his advances had not gone to complain because of their fear, it was said.

Finally it was because of a suspicion of a brother of a student that he gets into police custody. The girl's brother who was constantly alert about his sister being seen enveloped in thought always was once vigilant about a call received by her mobile phone and her response to the call and subsequently being questioned about it had come to know that the pressure of the teacher has become a nuisance to her. The girl in fact had been pressurised about behaving in the manner that he wanted as motivated by him by force and that she has no liking of her own. "Sir worries me. When I show a negative attitude he says that he would display to the public what is on the phone," the girl has told her brother. When he has kept on continuously questioning as to what she infers by saying 'what is on the phone', a shocking revelation had come to light.

This brother has consented when it was told that special classes would be conducted for her only leading her towards an 'A' pass in the subject of Maths and had even gone to drop the sister two and a half years ago. She has further mentioned that after getting her down to his tuition class in Bandaragama town, in the first few days he had closed the door of the classroom and had sexually abused her and on that occasion videoed those moments with his camera equipment. She has also stated that for purposes of abusing her the 'yoga mat' which was in his bag was laid down on the floor. After the incident this teacher who had scared the girl threatening her saying that everything was recorded on on the camera and if this was told to anybody, the video clips would be released over the internet.

Whatever it is, this teacher when once again conversing cordially with the girl had told, "these are normal things these days. Don't be afraid ... I'll now give a certain pill. There's another pill that's to be taken 12 hours later. After that nothing will happen to you. Take those without any fear. These days everybody does these things. We must live with fun ...". From that day onwards upto now the girl has made the girl come to the tuition class and has had sexual relationships with her and on every such occasion had made the girl swallow a pill and had handed her another pill with instructions for it to be taken 12 hours later., it was revealed.

After the parents of the schoolgirl was made aware of these matters, on the complaint made to police, the tuition sir Nihal Dharmathillaka, his mobile phone was taken into custody together with his bed linen. On interrogating him it was revealed at police investigations that he had wedded a lady-principal of Matale and that he has three children from that marriage and had released him from that wedding about 12 years before this and subsequently had married a schoolgirl of the same area and that by now that wife too has two children.

The 52 year old suspect tuition sir is to be produced before Horana court. The said schoolgirl has been admitted to hospital. The bed sheet used by the girl, a bundle of birth control pills and the mobile phone of the suspect have been taken into police custody.
