No sound from Indika's room that night

It is believed that Indika Ginige, tele-drama and film actor who departed day-before-yesterday night unexpectedly was the result of a personal reason; but investigations related to his death was not finished even by last evening. 

Indika who was 37 years of age at the time of death had refrained from acting in tele-dramas from recent times. However he was an actor who has acted in close upon 60 tele-dramas during the period

2001 - 2015. After his wife left him and went abroad with the daughter subsequent to crises that flared up in married life and he had lived in Aniwaththa area, Dodamwela in Kandy with his father.

Day-before-yesterday, the day of the incident, as there was no noise at all from the room in which he stayed, there is evidence that his father had opened the door of the room and notice his son lying on the bed in a speechless manner. On that occasion though the father had spoken to him, there had been no response from him. Therefore he had with the support of neighbours admitted Indika to Kandy General Hospital. Doctors who checked him on admission have informed that he had passed away. 

Though it was revealed that Mr. Ginige there is information to the effect had consumed an overdose of some drug; it has still not been confirmed at the post-mortem.  

Mr. Indika Ginige has taken part in over 60 tele-dramas and about 3 films. A DVD comprising his songs was released some years back. Maya, Seya, Poojasane, Situmedura and Issaraha gedera are some of the tele-dramas he acted in. He has also acted in films such as Senasuru maaruwa and Selamuthu pinna. For a number of years he has kept away from acting. His friends have informed that he had become addicted to alcohol because of his personal problems. He is a father of one child and his only daughter lives away from him with her mother. 

The post-mortem of Mr. Indika Gamage was expected to be held last afternoon at Kandy General Hospital. His dead body lies at a funeral parlour from day-before-yesterday night and the final rites would be conducted this afternoon at Kandy Mahaiyawa public cemetery.
