Hema Nalin Karunarata passes away

We wish to inform with sorrow the death of popular journalist and television host Mr. Hema Nalin Karunaratna who became very popular at one time because of the rupavahini programme 'Namayai paha' over the national rupavahini a result of a sudden heart attack which he has suffered while he was in his home this morning in Malabe.

He was  years old at the time of death and he had been maintaining HTV (Heritage TV) which was a

broadcasting channel across cable and internet belonging to him. After serving national rupavahini he was attached to Swarnavahini channel and subsequently he carried on documentary programmes across this channel by getting together with Dialog TV.

Apart from this he had conducted a course of studies on production of rupavahini programmes under the name HTV Academy thus sharing his knowledge with the new generation. He was also someone who joined in as a lecturer of leading courses on media in the island. His final rites would be notified later.
