Speeding at 117 ... attorney-at-law Sugandhika found guilty by courts!

Magistrate of traffic courts, Colombo Mr. Chandana Kalansuriya ordered attorney-at-law Mrs. Sugandhika Fernando who accepted guilt for having driven her vehicle beyond speed limits.

Peliyagoda police have accused her of having driver her vehicle at a speed of 117 kms. per hour.

Attorney-at-law Mrs. Sugandhika who stepped into the dock without a lawyer accepted guilty to the charges against her. The magistrate who exclaimed that having considered her profession in the field of law had warned her and ordered that she be released. Last month she was subjected to some furore in the social media because of having publicly denouncing corruption and shortcomings of the judiciary.
