The new government and deputy ministers were sworn in this morning at the Presidential Secretariat. The minister positions as sworn in are as follows:

• H.M.M. Harees -- Deputy minister of public enterprise and Kandy development.
• Ali Saheer Maulana -- Deputy minister of national integration, reconciliation and official languages
• Mutthu Sivalingam -- Deputy minister of internal affairs and Wayamba development
• Manusha Nanayakkara -- Deputy minister of telecommunication, digital infra-structure and foreign employment
• Palitha Thevarapperuma -- Deputy minister of sustainable development, wildlife and regional development
• Sarathi Dushmantha -- Deputy minister of justice and prison reforms
• Karunarathna Paranavithana -- Deputy minister of science, technology and research, skills deveopment and vocational training and hill country heritage
• Ranjan Ramanayaka -- Deputy minister of social empowerment
