Wife and children claim 10 million compensation from Nalin Perera for singing songs of Jothipala without permission

The legal case filed by Mr. Jothipala's wife and children against leader of Marians music band, Nalin Perera for having sung several songs of Jothipala of the 70s recently at the music concert 'Kings of 70s' unplug without any permission was heard last week at the Commercial High Court
. Singer Mr. H.R. Jothipala's wife, Mrs. Blossom Jothipala and her 4 children had filed the said case.

Though Mr. Jothipala's wife and children did not appear in the presence of the media in public before, they have now come forward to appear on his behalf. They pointed out in courts that Mr. Jothipala has sung over 10,000 songs and has released over a 100 albums and mentioned that they hold the rights for those songs. Under these circumstances they requested from courts, appealing that accused Mr. Nalin Perera pay a compensation of Rs. 10 million for having sung the songs of singer H.R. Jothipala without permission. As such, leader of Marian's band has been issued a warrant to appear before Commercial High Court on next 10th of January.
