A the protest was launched by United Opposition yesterday (7) against selling the Hambanthota Port and the Airport, disregarding a court order and the police had to respond with tear gas to disperse the crowd with 26 persons persons being taken into custody.

During this demonstration an instance where a senior police officer was seen dealing a blow on a
