"Badu epa ... badu epa ..." -- Banana attack on Piumi Hansamali in Korea (video)
Well known internet performer Piumi Hansamali was subjected to criticism in the social media for having acted in a music video called 'Kesel gedi' where a distinguished singer was humiliated and 2 days before that before this she became the victim of bananas being thrown at her during an appearance at a music show she engaged in, in
Korea.
Korea.
Though Piumi has initially released a message across Facebook saying that this incident was not true; when video clips relating to the said incident began circulating over the internet, she has admitted that she did get into a confused state on stage on that occasion. She remarked that about 900 Sri Lankans living in Korea had attended the concert but that only a handful of 10 members of the audience showed their displeasure to her and that she came to know about some actresses had disliked her coming there, right from the outset. Subsequently Piumi admitted that the cause for this opposition was that some persons are of the view that distinguished singer Victor Ratnayaka was insulted through the music video which incidentally was subjected to an uproar. But responding to this situation she says that she participated in a performance and that it was not the character of Victor and therefore no humiliation is done for the said popular singer as such.
Even before Piumi stepped on stage how the audience booed her shouting ... "Badu epa ... badu epa" and the banana attack taking place and the concert pausing for some moments with Piumi explaining matters could be seen in the video below
