Well-known cinema actor Mr. Baptist Fernando passed away at the age of 84 years. Mr. Fernando was in the limelight in the 60 -- 70 decade in the local screen having played roles in a host of films such as Mamai raja, Eaka diga kathawak, Kawda raja, Duppathage hithawatha, Avisvashaya, Sudu aiya, Sally, Sahanaya, Purusharathnaya, Sithaka mahima, Tikira, Sepathasoya, Satha panaha, Thushara, Siril malli and Wanagatha kella, Deviyani oba kohida? He also was involved in production with the Seven Arts Film Company. Following are photos of funeral proceedings which were conducted today (30) at Borella Kanatta .
