Dead body covered with a polythene in a load of soil brought to fill a land

It is reported from Thapassarakanda area in Kalawana that a dead body covered in a polythene bag in a load of soil bought to fill a land.It is learnt that this load of soil had been brought from a place where the soil had been collected where a road had been constructed.

When investigations were carried out it had revealed that a part of a cemetery had been taken for the

construction of the road.After the load of soil was unloaded it had ben noticed that stray dogs were  fighting near the vicinity.The identity of the dead body could not been made as there were no signs on the body.

It is suspected as this body was not contained in a traditional coffin but as it was covered with polythene.

SAfter the owner of the land had complained to the Kalawana police security had been provided to the place.Investigations had commenced by the officials of the criminal investigationg unit of the Ratnapura police.The police are investigating to find whether the dead body is of a person who had been mysteriously killed and buried or not.
