Wimal Kumara  de Costa had been in the studio when he got the heart attack

The renowned actor Wimal Kumara de Costa had succumbed after a sudden heart attack. He had got the heart attack when he was preparing for the Uthum Sathkara programme of the Colombu TV International channel.

On the 20th instant when he was with the make up room he had got a chest pain.The Operations

Director  Chaminda Jayasinghe had explained i this manner:

" In the morning Wimal Aiyya was made to do the make up for the programme.He had told to include the song of Milton Mallawarachchi's "Kendam Yannam Ran Mal Mala Dala"song.At the same time he had said he has a chest pain to give him a glass of water quickly.As he was bad we took him to the Kalubowila Teaching hospital in the same vehicle he had come.The doctor who examined him had said that he had died"
