The skeleton at Dimbulagala mountain is supposed to be of a meditation Bikkhu

The officers of the Aralaganvila police station have said that they suspect the skeleton that was found from the top of the Dimbulagala mountain on the 15th instant  is suspected to be that of a mediating Bikkhu.

It is reported that from a long time in the forest caves the Buddhist monks of the forest temple

had been meditating at the peak of the mountain

It is suspected that in year 1979  at the Dimbulagala forest temple a Buddhist Monk ordained Ven. Medirigiriye Rupalankara therawho was 70 years old may have expired this way was the opinion of other Bikkhus in the Temple.

In this regard the officials of the Aralaganwila police withthe officers of the criminal investigationg unit of the Polonnaruwa have commenced investigations.
