Soldier who had insisted wife to drink complaints to police against liquor addicted wife. 

A wife of a  Navy soldier had got addicted to liquor as a result she had neglected the children had been visiting exploring places where illicit liquor is sold.In this regard the husband had sought redress from police to advise her by complaining to the minor offences unit.

The complaint had been investigated by the officer in the minor complains unit Inspector of Police

Ravindra Jayatissa.It has been reveled by the wife of the Navy soldier that she cannot get rid of the habit.

This woman is 31 years old and  mother of two children.The two had got married over 12 years ago.It has been said that when the Navy soldier when come home on leave used to bring bottles of liquor and invited the wife to during encouraging her.It is reported that she had refused initially but owing to the insistence of the Navy soldier she had consumed liquor and got addicted

The investigating Inspector of Police Raveendra Jayatissa had explained about the repercussions of consuming liquor, affect of it to the children and had even given examples from Buddhist Dharmadeshayas.But all these had been refused to take into consideration by the wife of the Navy soldier who had reoterated that she is now addicted to liquor.

The Inspector of Police had blamed the husband the Navy soldier for his action of forcing his wife to consume liquor initially which had made her to become an addict.
