KLM Dutch Airlines back in Sri Lanka after 20 years

It should be reminded that from year 1980 to mid 1990's many Sri Lankan's opted to travel to European countries via the KLM Dutch Airlines.In the year 1996 the Nederland's national carrier had withdrawn flights to and from Sri Lanka.

However it is reported that once again from November this year KLM Dutch Airlines are to serve the
Sri Lankan passengers which is after 20 long years.

With the arrival of Boeing 787 on flight KL873 today the 02nd November this morning the service to  and from Sri Lanka had begun.It is reported that once in two weeks there would be flights to Amsterdam and from Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport to Amsterdam.
