Husband from Dutugemunu generation; won't come near child because of 'kili' (impurity) influence

Up-and-coming actress Bhagya Gurusingha who appeared in a number of tele dramas a short time before this had kept away from the field of acting. She got married to the Chief Kapumahatthaya of Kataragama Devala, Piyushan. As a consequence she revealed that her time prior to the birth and after the birth  of her first child was spent based on godly faith. Because of this belief she had not allowed her
husband even to sight the house.

This is what she said about it: "Now son is seven months no. What he mostly utters is, aaw ... aaw! Now he's trying to stand up a little. During the initial period after he was born I managed to attend to my work all alone. Because Piyushan was connected to activities related to Kataragama Devala, he kept himself separated from his son. Until 3 months of son's birth passed, baby's father and grandfather had no way of coming to see him saying 'kili'. They were keeping their fingers crossed until the 3 months passed. Even during the period I was to deliver the child, he was keeping a distance from us. It was with my mother that I went to the clinic also.

* During those 3 months how did Piyushan see you and baby?
It's video calls. Would send photos ... videos. Even when son would lift a hand, it's videoed and sent. Piyushan would wait near the gate. We used to show baby from inside. That's what we did for all 3 months.

* At the end of the 3 months on the first day that Piyushan saw his son what did he do?
When he came ... the home was washed and cleaned with saffron water. He's from Dutugemunu's generation no. Like a king was coming. As soon as he came he took the baby into his hands and kissed him. Baby also at once shouted in glee. That whole day he was on the father's body. Didn't even cry. People there also asked me to go back to acting.

* What are your future hopes?
Nothing. I'll just continue like this. If I go back to acting I won't be able to attend to these things. I like another child. But it's a baby girl that I like. Of course we have a son to carry the name of the devala no".
