Dilrukshi could have resolved the issue without media display-President
The director general of the Bribery and corruption investigation unit Dilrukshi Dias Wickremasinghe resigned from her position after she had heard the speech made by the President Maithripala Sirisena.
President Maithripala Sirisena had aired his views to a weekend newspaper Lankadeepa after she
tendered her resignation.:-
" She had done like the civil organizations personnel writing letters to media institutions. Before tendering resignation and leaving she should have had the courtesy to meet me and ask what I meant from the statement made in the speech. This was as she was appointed by me.
If any defects were prevalent in the commission she should have had the courtesy to inquire from me.What she did was write the resignation letter and to show the entire country via the media. This I attribute to the fact of lacking in experience and knowledge. This is the way I look at it."
