COPE report to be out tomorrow,former Central Bank Governor flees country
It ie reported reliably that the former Central Bank Goren Arjun Mahendran has left to Singapore suddenly this afternoon at 3.12 pm from the Bandaranaike international airport via Emirates flight number EK348
During the tenure when Arjun Mahendran had been the governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka
there had been the much spoken about bond scandal.In this regard the COPE committee report is to be tabled in parliament on Friday the 28th instant.
The sudden departure of the chief person responsible in regard to the bond scandal the former Central Bank governor had been informed to the house by the member of parliament for the Ratnapiura district Ranjith de Zoysa. He had said that the person who fled is not a small fish but a huge 'thora' ,a big fish.It is reported that his passport cannot be impounded by our courts as he is foreign national.
