MP Namal Rajapaksa called over at the Police Financial Crimes Investigation Department this afternoon around 11 on the understanding that he is to be questioned in connection with an incident of purchasing shares amounting to Rs.

125 million. 

When arriving there and when the media cameramen closed in upon him, what he said was, "The IGP has 'bent' the law a little" . He then walked in uttering, "I'll go inside and see how far he has 'bent' it!". After a statement was recorded in relation to the incident of buying the said shares of Rs. 125 million, MP Mr. Namal Rajapaksa was taken into custody, it was reported. He is expected to be produced before Courts today itself.
