Gammanpila to file action against Chandrika in defence of Gota

The Member of Parliament Udaya Gammanpila in contemplating filing action through his lawyers against a statement made by the former President Chandrika Kumaratunga who had alleged that the former secretary of defence Gotabhaya Rajapaksa

had misappropriated funds when the fighter jets were imported  during the period of the war which had caused him a disgrace.

The Member of Parliament Udaya Gammanpila had added that in this regard he had spoken to the former defence secretary. It is reported that in the face of the terror facing Gotabhaya  many stories are fabricated against him, like Eknaligoda disappearance, arresting of Intelligence officers etc. In this manner although there are several built up stories but not against the war heroes were never spoken of Gotabhaya were the views of Gammanpila.

It had been said the three fourths of the war was won before Mahinda Rajapaksa took over. Gammanpila had argued that as he has had only to finish the last quarter when the LTTE had destroyed three fourths of Colombo and defeated the LTTE.

Gammanpila had also added that Wickremabahu Karunaratne needs to be arrested for stating that the rehabilitated LTTE  cadres have been injected with poison.These had been emphasised by him at a media conference held.
