Colonel of Army questioned on suspicion for shooting wife in her stomach

The officers of the Athurugiriya police have questioned a Colonel in the army who had lived in two storied house in Isurupura,Pittugala Malabe for causing injuries to the stomach of his wife by

shooting.

The children of the couple had confessed that the two had been on verge of a divorce.The police Officers have recorded statements from the Colonel for about five hours.

A significant feature was that the Colonel had come to the police station accompanied by the army  police personnel. had come to answer .The  name of the suspected Colonel would be made known in a couple of days.
