Youth who entered Karapitiya hospital for some ailment has died of dengue
A wretched story is reported from the Karapitiya Teaching hospital where a 19 year old youth who had got admitted to the hospital for treatment of skin decease had acquired dengue fever and died on the 13th instant.
It is highly suspected that owing to the unhygienic condition in the hospital premises and also as
perhaps the dengue breeding mosquitoes that may have pierced him after piercing the dengue patients already under treatment in the hospital may have the closed reason for him to acquire dengue fever.
During the postmortem it had revealed that the deceased youth is a bachelor and had been engaged in the fishing industry for a living.
On the 11th instant the deceased youth had been admitted to the Karapitiya Teaching hospital on the instructions of his general practitioner as he has had on his skin small water bubbles. On examining his blood it had revealed four days back that he had acquired dengue fever when he was in the ward number 27.
