Namal Rajapaksa released on bail
The Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa who was remanded for alleged misappropriation of a sum of rupees seven million was produced before courts today the 18th instant. The magistrate has allowed the bail application submitted by his lawyers.
The members of the joint opposition had raised voice that the arrest of Namal Rajapaksa was a political revenge. The government sources issuing notice had categorically stated that for his arrest there are sufficient evidences and the court authorities have correctly decided to remand him.
