Parents refuse to accept the dead body of daughter who had committed suicide after eloping

An incident is reported by the police where a 21 year old daughter had eloped with her boy friend had committed suicide. The parents had refused to accept the dead body of their daughter for conducting her last rites. Hence the body has had

to be cremated at the expense of the police department.

The daughter who had committed while in a hostel in Katunayake area is a resident of Mirigama ,Kithulwela area.

This girl had been boarded in this Katunayake hostel saying that she is from a very rich family by the boyfriend of the girl. However she had been found guilty of robbing jewelry and cash from the owners of the hostel and had been produced before courts. After a similar incident she had decided to commit suicide inside the hostel.
