Mahinda has visited to see Udaya at Welikada
Today morning the 23rd instant the former president Mahinda Rajapaksa has visited the Welikada prison to see how Member of Parliament Udaya Gamanpila is fairing.
After the 08th January debacle ,the Member of Parliament Udaya Gammanpila had been like a shadow to the former president Mahinda Rajapaksa Just after completing his tour of Japan Mahinda
Rajapaksa had visited the Welikada prison as his duty in return to him.
It is reported that Udaya Gammanpila has been suspected to have obtained shares to the tune of millions of rupees by forging a power of attorney document of a foreigner.
The members of the joint opposition are saying that Udaya Gammanpila , the leader of the Pivithru Hela Urumaya will never indulge in such an activity and this is a political revenge. They are trying to get him released and exonerated from his charges.
