Intense situation at Port premises as a group had pasted posters in defence of Arjuna

It has been reported that today morning on the 22nd instant there had been a clash between two
factions in front of the entrance to the port complex.

It is learnt that the clash had been between the faction who had been involved in a protest campaign within the port premises yesterday and the faction of Minister of port and aviation Arjuna Ranatunga who had pasted posters in defense of the minister.

However the clash had been brought under control when the police had intervened. A trade union faction had made allegations regarding some wooden furniture that the Minister Arjuna Ranatunga had obtained from the port workshop. Against this allegation Arjuna had at a media briefing had threatened them saying that letters of  demand  would be sent followed by filing action had been the cause of this protest against him.

The trade union faction had denied the receipt of such letters of demand and said the reason for the minister to utter this at the media briefing was to cover his nude.
