The flood victims are forced to escape from looters

The flood victims who are having a torrid time in staying in recue camps are confronted with another issue in addition to safeguarding their lives.

It is reported that organised gangs have entered the rescue camps and in the pretext of asking their needs have attempted to loot their personal belongings. This has become a challenge for the affected people.

\The Inspector General of Police Pujith Jayasundara has issued directives to police personnel deployed for services at the rescue camps to apprehend these looters.
