Solar power project proposal to Parliament approved
A proposal made to the Parliament central committee to have electricity via a solar power system has been approved.
The deputy minster of power and renewable energy Ajith P Perera had confirmed that the proposal made for the solar power system to the
parliament had been approved by the parliament central committee.The speaker Karu Jayasuriya, the deputy speaker Thilanga Sumathipala,the leader of the house Lakshman Kiriella, the leader of the opposition R.Sambandam. leader of the JVP Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Douglas Devananda and Mahinda Samarasinghe had approved the proposal made for the solar power system to be installed to the parliament premises.
It was suggested however that when the solar panel are installed they should not affect to the architecture of the parliament premises in whatever manner when the panels are installed.It had been told to take delicate steps when wires are drawn from the solar panels which are to be installed in the Diyawanna area.
