Out of the 488 registered Dansela's only 152 were held

The Chief Public Health Inspector of the Colombo Municipal Council  Ruwan Wijemuni has added that 488 Danselas were registered with the Colombo Municipal Council to conduct in the Colombo district to  serve the Vesak sightseers with food and drinks. However owing to the terrible flood situation that many people faced in Aranaayake,Bulathkohupitiya and around the Kelani river areas  most of the proposed Danselas were the proposed not held.Out of the 488 registered Danselas

only 152 have got off the blocks to provide free food and drinks to the Veask sightseers.

However the money collected to spend on the  Danselas were donated for flood relief work by the organizers as requested by the authorities of the government,

The authorities of the ministry of health have reported that owing to the same reason most Danselas in the other parts of the island too had not been opened for Vesak sightseers this year.
